Fused Glass Bowl

bowl - (created 2018)

Glass comes in different forms: sheets, glass chunks (frit) and glass powder. To make my pieces I start with clear and colored quality sheet glass from Bullseye Glass. I cut the sheets and create my design. By fusing the glass in the kiln at various temperatures I can achieve interesting textures and patterns. After several firings at up to 24 hours each time, the glass is formed into glass art, becoming beautiful plates and bowls. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

My Artwork

Bowls

My bowls serve as decorative or functional pieces. My personal favorite are strip bowls. Individual strips of glass are arranged, fused together and then formed in a mold, which gives the bowl its final shape.

Plates

All of my work is one-of-a-kind. My plates look great on every table, and can be used for sushi, appetizers, sweets. They can also be hung on the wall for decoration.
